You were created by God and can have a personal relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
(go to step 2)
No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall short of being perfect. That's because we are all sinners. Having sin means that we do not measure up to God’s perfect standard of righteousness. The Bible says, “There is no one righteous, not even one.” So what can we do?
(go to step 3)
The penalty for sin is death. But Jesus suffered death for us that we might be forgiven by God. The Bible tells us that “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
This is the Gospel - the Good News that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place. All He requires of us is repentance & belief.
(go to step 4)
The word "repent" means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him. When we confess our sins to Him and repent, we are agreeing with God that we need His grace and forgiveness in our lives.
(go to step 5)
You don't become a Christian simply by going to a church or believing a religious creed. You become a Christian when Jesus Himself takes up residence in your heart & life.
Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.”
If you want to have a relationship with Jesus, use your own words & simply pray from your heart a prayer somthing like this:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life to You. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
(go to step 6)
If you repented of your sins, prayed & asked Jesus into your heart & life - welcome to the family of God!
